The juvenile probation department consists of probation officers that handle both misdemeanor and felony offenses.  A juvenile may be assigned to probation by the Judge in Court, they will then be assigned a probation officer randomly before they leave the Courthouse that day.

Juveniles may remain on probation for a period of time that the Court designates and must follow certain rules as well as report to their probation officer regularly during that time period.

While on probation the juvenile will have rules and orders that include but are not limited to some of the following: Community Work Hours, Curfew, House Arrest with an ankle monitor, Drug and Alcohol Counseling and Individual and Family Counseling.

The Juvenile Court Diversion Program is an alternative offered to first time alleged unruly and certain misdemeanor delinquent youth.
The primary purpose of the diversion program is to prevent formal Court involvement for those youth that have no previous Court history.
If the youth successfully completes the diversion program, they will not have a juvenile record and there are no Court costs or fines assessed.  There is a $77.00 program fee associated with the program.

However, if the youth does not comply with the diversion program, the Complaint will be heard in formal Court before the Judge at which time further sanctions will be imposed.
